Summary/Abstract: Frédéric Mistral’s publications in the first international comparative literature journal, the ACLU from Cluj show some important connections between the interest of Mistral’s Félibrige circle in transnational approaches to culture, and the ACLU’s attempts to blur the borders of national literatures through regionalism and transnationalism. As a lexicographer of the Occitan language, Mistral was an author whose activity reinforced the ACLU’s editors to proceed with their project that reshaped national and ethnic identities, involving transactions and negotiations concerning languages and cultures.
