Diagnosis of Health Behaviours of Inhabitants of the Silesian Voivodeship (on the Basis of the Research Conducted with the Inventory of Health Behaviours of Z. Juczyński)

Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, more and more frequently the importance of personal choices is emphasized with regard to health condition and the risk of developing certain illnesses. This means that it is necessary to implement educational and preventive strategies. The starting point for such activities should constitute a diagnosis of health behaviours of various groups of people, based on reliable research tools. Our research has been carried out on a group of 345 randomly selected inhabitants of the Silesian Voivodeship. The Inventory of Health Behaviours of Z. Juczyński has been used. The results obtained have been compared with normalization results in the field of descriptive statistics. Positional statistics and correlation coefficients have also been analyzed. Taking into account the data obtained, practical recommendations have been made in terms of planning and implementi.
