Summary/Abstract: The aim of the issue undertaken has been to show the complexity of the process in which a child learns the world. School education is an element of this process, but what happens in extracurricular space, especially within the family environment, is an extremely important background for the school system – the teaching process. This research process brings an overview of selected aspects of the functioning of the child in the family, which significantly affect the overall experience of building the knowledge of the world. An attempt has been made to find out what behaviours and attitudes that makeup the multi-faceted parenting process dominate in their families, according to the parents surveyed Another issue raised in the study is the use of reinforcements. In this part of the study, the views of both parents and their children have been examined. The research has been conducted on 279 parents and 279 children (558 in total). A diagnostic survey has been carried out among parents, and interviews have been conducted among children.
