Summary/Abstract: The present study intends to be an exegetic investigation of the Christological aspects of humbleness, with another New Testament term “littleness”, based on Phil 2,5–8, especially emphasizing the idea of kenosis. When interpreting the divine littleness we have to mention God’s way of becoming human in Jesus Christ, taking upon himself the form of a man, with all its consequences. Finally a statement is made, that the paradigm of humbleness or littleness in the New Testament (or in a broader sense, the whole Biblical canon) is the person and service of Jesus, i. e. the humbleness or littleness of God, fully represented in he words and acts of Jesus Christ.
