Summary/Abstract: Seen in the context of previous Catholic song production, the literary and musical work by the Czech baroque organist and composer Adam Michna from Otradovice (c. 1600–1676) was very innovative. The study focuses on an analysis of several symbols in Easter songs from Michna’s hymnbooks Česká mariánská muzika (Czech Marian Music, 1647) and Svatoroční muzika (Holy Year Music, 1661).
