Summary/Abstract: The essay examines the ways in which time appears in Bob Dylan’s lyrics, from the earliest period of his career to his latest songs. The author suggests that there are four main types of time appearing in Dylan’s poetry: time of factual narration, time in the sense of the continuity of change, timelessness, and the time of the past in a state of constant delay and forgetting.
