Summary/Abstract: The text is devoted to the analysis of research on the preventive measures that should be implemented to support a child at risk of muscular dystrophy. It addresses both the organizational issues as well as provision of comprehensive support to a child with muscular dystrophy and his/her family. It also presents the process of education of a child with muscular dystrophy in the Polish educational system.
