Summary/Abstract: Analysing political discourse in Romania, we can see that there is no important political actor that really can be defined as an anti-system party. Both ruling parties and opposition parties only promote simple political objectives, balancing the political relations within the state in their favor. With only a few exceptions, Romania has not generated an authentic anti-system voice, nor does it seem interested in doing so. The anti-system discourses carried by mainstream political actors are exclusively communication/election techniques that are essentially used to better demonize the opponent of the current confrontation and to better target it in the wake of a certain part of public opinion.
