Summary/Abstract: In this paper, I would like to present three approaches to Heidegger’s religiosity and religious thinking and underscore the importance of Heidegger’s thinking in the 20th century philosophy of religion. I will highlight the parallel interpretations of the religious movements in the 19th – 20th century and Heidegger’s approach to religion as a fundamental methodological problem of phenomenology. Furthermore, I will examine the connection between the original methodological inquiries and the reflection on religiosity in the later writings of Heidegger on historical being.
