Summary/Abstract: Some of the most commonly used concepts in the current political field are globalization, religion and human rights. The article offers a brief analysis of the globalization impact, in order to reveal the trends and characteristics which forms the public mentality necessary to reaffirm the concept of religious freedom and conscience. Are there resources in the Judeo-Christian tradition that promotes human rights on a global scale? Can religion play an active and constructive role in understanding, adopting and implementing human rights? After a brief introduction followed by the reaffirmation of the fundamental principles of a Christian mentality, the first part is a presentation of the concept of globalization, followed by a brief analysis of the impact of globalization on human society. In the latter part, freedom of religion and consciousness is placed in the context of globalization to reaffirm its role and purpose.
