Maternity/Paternity Leave, Parental Leave for Child Care – Legislation, Child Psychology, Harmonious Development

Summary/Abstract: For parents, the meaning of life is represented by children, because they are the reason they love and are loved. Being a parent is like a mission in space, full of challenges and experiments that imply time spent with the children. In this study, we intend to defer the normative framework applicable to maternity/paternity leave, parental leave for child care, and to observe the differences between these types of legal institutions and the conditions for granting, the duration and the amount of the allowances. In addition, we considered it appropriate to address this research in an interdisciplinary manner and to highlight aspects of child psychology in order to understand the overwhelming importance of these types of leave and the effective involvement of parents in the lives of their children.
