Summary/Abstract: The Unification Council of the Orthodox churches of Ukraine held on 15th December2018 and the granting of the tomos on autocephaly by the Patriarch of Constantinople,the Bartholomew I on 6th January 2019, have initiated, lasting to date, the religiouscommunities’ conversion process from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (MoscowPatriarchate) subordinated to the Russian Orthodox Church, to the jurisdiction of newlyestablished Orthodox Church of Ukraine. The article’s aim is the analysis of the rivalryon followers, that has transformed into the informational war. Furtherly, the mostimportant laws providing the juridical foundation for the process implemented by theVerkhovna Rada of Ukraine were analysed, and – as widely as possible – the basicstatistical data on its intensity was investigated.
