Summary/Abstract: The review is devote d to the discuss ion with the main ideas of the book, writte n by V. N. Rudakov (Mongolo-tatary glazami russkich knizhnikov 13th – 15th cent.”, published in 2009). It contains the telling criticism of the rese arch meth ods of Rudakov, critical revise d the conclusions of Rudakov. Seleznev suggests his own conception of perception of Tatars and the Golden Horde by the Russian Medieval writers.
