Summary/Abstract: Introduction. The paper studies the current status of the history of philosophy in the humanitarian field and the university system. The purpose of the research is to identify the status of the history of philosophy in the general humanitarian field and the university system in the context of self-consciousness of philosophy historians. Materials and Methods. The paper implements a perspectivist approach, exploring the problem from the position of a science actor in the dimension of historians of philosophy. The principles of textual analysis, hermeneutical methods, and modeling are used. The research data include the historical and philosophical works, published in the Russian language over the past fifteen years. Results. The study substantiates the author’s approach to studying the status of the history of philosophy in the perspective of historiography and the self-consciousness of historians of philosophy. The features of modern reflection by historians of the philosophy of their own discipline are summarized. The interdisciplinary status of the history of philosophy in the Humanities and higher education is demonstrated. The author suggests a model of relationships between the history of philosophy and other humanities, which can be used in developing university-level educational programs. Conclusions. The productivity of studying the history of philosophy in the perspective of historiography and self-consciousness of historians of philosophy is substantiated. Within the framework of the proposed author’s model, the ways of its contextualization as a field with an interdisciplinary status in the Humanities and higher education are identified.
