Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the correlations of ethnic identity and its manifestations in mutual perception and opinion among citizens of the Slovak Republic, both of Slovak and Hungarian ethnicity. For the possibility of broader comparison and apprehension, we also used as illustration the Czech and Roma ethnicities. Subsequently, the values were measured on a sample of 652 respondents of the mentioned ethnicities, with an equal representation of ethnicity, sex, and age. The observed results indicate a high degree of similarity among respondents of both Hungarian and Slovak ethnicities. This similarity is found both in each other´s assessments, which is positive and reciprocal, and in the assessments of the Roma, which are equally in the negative poles.
