Preface

Summary/Abstract: Pratarmė, tyrimų problemos, autoriai ir sandara, teorija ir metodologija, atvejo studijos, etnografiniai tyrimai, rėmėjai, preface, research issues, authors and structure, acknowledgements. Mokslo darbų leidinys „Grupės ir aplinkos“ skirtas mažųjų visuomenės grupių tyrinėjimams. Tyrimai apima jaunimo skonio (gyvenimo stiliaus) subkultūrines grupes, naujiesiems religiniams judėjimams priskiriamas grupes, etnines mažumas bei jų subgrupes ir daugelį kitų grupių, kurių nariai, bendraudami tarpusavyje ir su aplinka, sukuria autentišką / individualią grupės gyvenseną. Problematika aktuali ir Lietuvoje, ir visame posovietiniame regione, nes čia dar nesusiformavusios šių tyrimų tradicijos. Leidinio tikslas – aktyvinti įvairių sričių grupių tyrinėtojų bendravimą, taip pat tarpdisciplininius tyrimus, integruojant socialinių, humanitarinių bei tiksliųjų mokslų žinias. Rinkinyje spausdinami patyrusių ir pradedančiųjų tyrinėtojų straipsniai, parengti studijuojant doktorantūroje, taip pat magistro ir bakalauro tezių pagrindu. Juose galima matyti pirmuosius besiformuojančius tyrimų įgūdžius, atsiskleidžiančias jaunųjų tyrėjų vertybes. Groups and Environments, a series of academic works, is designated for investigations of subcultural groups. The research encompasses ‘taste’ (lifestyle) subcultural youth groups, groups ascribed to New religious movements, ethnic minorities and their subgroups and numerous others, all having members who create an authentic/ individual lifestyles for their groups by interacting with one another and with the environment. The issues involved are relevant for Lithuania and the entire post- Soviet region, where such research traditions have not yet formed. The objective for this series is to activate joint work by researchers who are studying the behaviours of different groups in different social environments as well as interdisciplinary studies that integrate methods used in the social sciences, humanities and the hard sciences. The articles in this collection are by experienced and by young researchers written over the course of participation in the research projects, some for doctoral studies and some on the bases of masters and bachelors theses.
