Summary/Abstract: Our study addresses how revisionist theories in the Communist historiography and history books (in communism and post-communism too) regarded the abdication of King Michael on December 30, 1947. The ultimate goal was the legitimacy of the Communists and the demolition of a whole period in our history. The act of December 30, 1947, became a target that had to deconstruct over 80 years of constitutional monarchy and show the period of August 23, 1944 - December 30, 1947, as a chain of triumphal events in favor of the Communists. The study shows with examples from the official communist histories how abdication was presented and what were the most falsified elements. The study also presents the textbooks from communist and post-communist history. The collapse of communism has not made light about abdication. The school handbooks just remembered the event without explaining the conditions of physical threat and blackmail in which the abdication took place. Thus, ignorance, historical amnesia acted massively in the 90's and 2000's. The study also benefits from numerous papers that are analyzed and explained.
