Summary/Abstract: During the Antonescu regime, by order 4147 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was established that all the Jews between Siret and Prut should be evacuated to the county residence cities. The number of those evacuated was on July 31, 1941, of 40,000 people. By July 31, 1941, over 40,000 Jews were evacuated. Evacuated families are no longer allowed to enter the communes from which they left, which created major problems in the care and provision of food for the evacuees, by the Jewish communities in the cities of residence. On July 11, 1941, 670 Jews were evacuated from the villages of the county, being unable to supply themselves with the strictly necessary food.
