Summary/Abstract: This report describes the history of the Czech program at Brown University: its inception as part of a graduate-level seminar to the present-day comprehensive program. Brown students are able to attend the Summer School of Slavonic Studies on a fellowship from the Charles University Rector’s Office as part of the Memorandum of Understanding between Brown and Charles University. Scholarly collaboration with Czech scholars — whether as part of the MoU or the KREAS project — ensures the Czech presence at Brown and inspires Brown faculty as well as students.
