Summary/Abstract: The modernity project has long been at the forefront of the philosophers' agenda. Some of the thinkers agree that the expectation that modernity will create a flawless world is wasted and results in a flawed world. However, there are also opposing philosophers who regard modernity as an incomplete project and support the founding principles. Charles Taylor, one of the most influential and important philosophers living today, also focuses on modernity in his works. Taylor's aim is both to point out the negative symptoms of modernity and to diagnose the underlying disease and propose treatment.
