Summary/Abstract: The study demonstrates intermediality in contemporary Hungarian music and it introduces a new method of analysis which can be useful for other studies connected to music. After the introduction, the work starts with the possibilities of intermediality in education. It examines two contemporary Hungarian songs which belong to the boundaries of literature. The first analysis is about the relation between text and image. In case of the second song, the analysis focuses on the audience’s comments from the point of view of awareness – determining how much the audience understands from the lyrics.
