The use of information system in logistic management

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to review and compare the use of information systems and technologies in enterprises in Poland. Globalization appeals to enterprises to increase their effectiveness of information management what is becoming a key element in achieving competitive advantage. Modern IT systems provide opportunity to collect and use information necessary for effective management. The article presents and describes the main systems used as support logistics management in enterprises and compares the use of Integrated Information Systems depending on the size of the enterprise, scope of activity and location.
