The controversy between Peter Mohyla and Kassian Sakovych around the sacrament of confession in the Ruthenian (and Uniate) church on the basis of their polemical works

Summary/Abstract: The article takes the arguments of the pastoral and theological polemics around the celebration of the sacrament of confession in the Orthodox Slavic traditions of the 17th century, based on the works of: “Lithos...” of metropolitan Peter Mohyla and „Perspectiwa…” of rev. Kassian Sakovych.
