Summary/Abstract: Developmental social and communication disorders are immanent in small children with autism. However, occurrence and intensity of rigid behavior patterns in children aged under three years do not follow a uniform template. Symptoms of limited, repeated and stereotypical patterns of behavior and interests are key elements for diagnosing autism, yet the range of these behaviors, interests and improper behavior patterns is extremely diverse in children. An attempt was made to analyze the above-mentioned symptom types based on the author’s recent research. The obtained results may aid a deeper understanding of the functioning of autistic children not only in the sphere characterized above but also in the social and communication spheres.
