Summary/Abstract: Quranic revelation accepted the original ancient holy books and invited to believe in them. In this context, the books held by Jews and Christians during Quran’s sending down process, were also accepted on some issues and it was stated that Ahl al-kitab hid some of the truths in these books and they did not take into account a number of provisions while considering some of them. On the other hand, it is mentioned that the Ahl al-kitab falsified the verses in the holy books. Consideration of these issues in the Quran is either an answer and warning to Ahl al-kitab who reacted negatively to the revelation of Quran, that the Qur’an is a revelation like the other holy books and they should believe in it, or it is mainly a warning to the believers about how people of the book were in error with regards to the holy books and applying the provisions of the books. In this respect, the issue should be dealt with high diligence. In this article it will be analyzed that Ahl al-Kitab’s falsification and suppression the biblical verses and state of application the verses according to Quran and its interpretations.
