Summary/Abstract: The article comprises three case studies which, over a few years, have been the source of experiences and observations involving pupils diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome attending a non-public grammar school in Warsaw. Each study presents the story of an actual person and a unique personality. Each story required a different clue. In the case of each of the three pupils one can find milestones, breakthroughs, successes and difficulties. Each of the children, who all arrived with a similar medical certificate, is very different from the others. Observing them enables one to assess when they feel safe and comfortable at school, in what conditions they discover opportunity to develop their skills and interests. Those three stories illustrate how to build an open community, a community in which children with Asperger’s can feel comfortable alongside both their exceptionally gifted and completely average peers.
