Summary/Abstract: In 1952 Poland ratified the Convention for the Suppression of the Traffic in Persons and of the Exploitation of the Prostitution of Others that abolished the criminalisation of the prostitution. But the same Polish authorities decided to continue their former policy using administrative and quasi-judicial institutions. Was it a way to control women or to control the whole socjety?
