Summary/Abstract: Early treatment can improve brain plasticity and lead to the recovery of an impaired function. Unique possibilities of developmental rehabilitation are based on that fact. Therefore, early diagnostics and early therapy present an important strategy for rehabilitation of cerebral impairments. The main goal of the paper was to structure a rehabilitation program based on a transdisciplinary approach for early intervention, and to use the basic elements of neurodevelopmental treatment and the sensory integration program customized to the individual needs of the prematurely born infant with CNS lesion. The next goal was to determine the effects that the program used had on the development of psychomotorfunctions important in first year of life.
