Summary/Abstract: The most important resource in any enterprise are people along with their skills, qualifications, competences and experience. Organization can be successful only when ap-propriate employees are hired for adequate workplaces. Employing the best people possi-ble depends considerably on the conducted recruitment process. This process can be effi-cient only when it provides the organization with qualified staff. The point of this paper is to present the choice of personnel as an element of personal function that influences the suc-cess of the enterprise and shows the direction of development regarding methods and to-ols that are utilized in the recruitment process and selection of workers. The following hy-pothesis has been adopted: only a carefully and responsibly conducted recruitment process leads to getting the most qualified staff on a given position, which in turn influences the de-velopment and functioning of the enterprise. The used research methods are: scientific lite-rature, available materials published on the Internet and a questionnaire sheet given to pe-ople who are actively seeking jobs in Koszalin. There were total of 120 interviewees.
