Summary/Abstract: As a part of the Slavonic Octoich, Prayer Canon for the Holy Mother of God, on Friday in voice 3 is a work in acrostich in which it is possible to recognise the signatures of several Old Bulgarian hymnographers. The first part of the present study is concerned with the signatures of Stoyan and Boyan. There are other hypotheses, namely, that the acrozone also contains the signatures of Naum, John, Sovii and Ovidii. Their study is presented in the second part of the article, which will be published in „Preslavska knizhovna shkola”, volume 19, where the text of the Prayer Canon is also published.
