Summary/Abstract: To the lawyer and journalist from Cluj Ottó Kornis we owe the fi rst volume about Auschwitz and a number of other Nazicamps, a volume he wrote immediately after returning to his hometown and which was published by the Minerva Institute forLiterature and Typography in Cluj in November 1945. The book went unnoticed, and its author was forgotten. The present studyseeks a reconstitution of his life and activity at the commemoration of the tragedy of the Holocaust in Northern Transylvaniaafter 75 years.
