Summary/Abstract: The paradigm of modern architecture is the integrity intention of the architectural - energy environment with its inherent complex of functional, compositional and aesthetic characteristics. The analysis of modern architectural activity shows that energy efficiency is one of the most influential factors in the formation of the architectural environment. Rationalization of architectural decisions on the basis of energy efficiency becomes one of the main leading areas in architecture. Transformation of the form and structure of housing is increasingly linked to the nature of the energy balance and the types of energy used. The evolution of energy supply of housing is characterized by the transition from unregulated use of natural energy revenues to scientifically grounded methods of obtaining, accumulation and transformation of energy.
