FUNCTIONING OF PROPER NAME, BORROWED FROM FOLKLORE IN THE POSTMODERNIST TEXT (BASED ON THE NOVELS OF VASYLIY KOZHELANKO

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study. Research the individual and author’s peculiarities of using proper names borrowed from folklore in the prose (based on V. Kozhelyanko novel “Defilade” cycle). Research methods. In this work such methods as observation, induction and deduction, descriptive method with its techniques of comparison, generalization, inventory and classification of linguistic material, contextual-interpretation and component analysis are used. Scientific novelty. Proper nouns of modern Ukrainian postmodern literature (especially prose) still be not enough studied, proper noun creativity of a large number of the post-totalitarian period authors has so far been considered in an appropriate or fragmentary way and has not become the subject of complex analysis. In particular, this also applies to the works of the famous Ukrainian writer Vasyl Kozhelanko.
