Aspects Concerning the Relationship between the Dancing Strigătură and the Folk Dance

Summary/Abstract: Studied less than other ethno-choreology themes, the relation between the simple dance and the strigătură is noticed in this article in three fundamental case studies in the field and achieves researches. The analysis isdealing with the way in which the fundamental units of the dance interact with theones of the strigătură, focusing on the work and role of the accent as a basic element of the syncretism. In addition, it is analysed the symbolic content of the verses as a factor that contextualises the choreographic expression and that links the dance and the choreographic event within a wider socio-cultural frame.
