Summary/Abstract: Authorial Translation in the FFL Class. Theoretical Implications and Teaching Proposal. The present contribution proposes a reflection on the study of authorial translation as part of a master level university course in French Language and Translation. According to the existing critical literature, what should be discussed is the role of literary translation in learning foreign languages at academic level in Italy. The comparative analysis of some famous versions of French classics lies at the core of a teaching proposal developed in several stages and meant to stimulate certain mediation strategies indicated in the CEFR, with a view to enhancing intercultural competence and interlinguistic reflection.
