Summary/Abstract: The article is a case study of restoring an icon painted on glass. The icon is from 19th century, it is a Transylvanian icon on glass made at Gherla, which belongs to centre Nicula and it represents the scene of burial of the Lord. The icon is painted on the reverse of the glass, following the folk tradition technique of the icons on glass painting.
