Summary/Abstract: «Sconfinato è solo il niente». The Self between Fracture and Recognition in «Vista dalla luna» by Chandra Livia Candiani. The article analyses Chandra Livia Candiani’s latest collection of poetry, entitled "Vista dalla luna", from a meta-biographical perspective aimed at highlighting the journey of a lyrical Self from fracture to recognition. We endeavour to show how poetry becomes, to Candiani, a significant expressive tool able to restore dignity to a despairing subject. Starting from her interviews and from her earlier work, "La bambina pugile", we shall see how, by way of a difficult childhood, Chandra manages to establish a sort of affective semantics which translates as a quest for existential order, indispensable to her survival. This order, provided by language, is the weapon that the child protagonist - « I » - wields against the madness she grew up in.
