Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Article. The objective is to produce a reconstruction of the multi-level pattern of 'decadent' film in accordance to the criteria of cultural research approach and to art nouveau (‘moderne’) style which is in the basis of the phenomenon of so-called “Film Art of Decadence.” Methodology includes the approach of modeling used within cultural research which is the most appropriate in a relation to re-construction of a multi-level filmic reality within the necessity of its correspondence to a number of criteria in terms of style and stylization. Scientific Novelty. Innovation value of the article consists in the introducing the concept of the “pattern of decadent film” and outlining of a number of specific levels: morphological, stylistic, intertextual, rhythmical, audial, tactile, montage, as well as specifically cinematic and narrative levels. Conclusion. Cultural pattern of the decadent film represents a complex construct that is open for interpretation including a number of levels and interpretational items; this construct descends from the basic concept of a ‘decadent oeuvre’ and is specified in accordance to the cinema as a polyphonic art.
