Summary/Abstract: When we evaluate humanity in terms of crimes against humanity in a quantitative sense, the concept of humanity emerges as people who have an interest in the investigation of these crimes in the relevant provisions of the law. The international criminal courts were established to end impunity for perpetrators of international crimes. Crimes against humanity are one of the international crimes and have the status of all international criminal courts. A comprehensive definition has been made with Roman status. In this study, the historical development of the concept of crime against humanity, how the concept is defined in the international criminal courts, what are the common and material elements of the crime and how the crime is handled in the Turkish Penal Code will be examined.
