Summary/Abstract: Süleymân-nâme-i Kebîr is a very voluminous encyclopedic work written in both prose and verse by Firdevsî-i Rûmî based on the life and stories of Solomon, including information on many fields, from the stories of other prophets to sacred books, medicine, geometry, philosophy, astronomy, etc. All creatures from the prophets Gaz, Evyaser and Nasen to the sultans of the world, from scholars and phylosophes such as Lokman Hekim, Eflâtun-ı Yunânî to jinns, fairies and animals, are in the service of Solomon in the work. In this study, the relationships of the mythical / mythological birds with regard to the work in the 61st and 62nd volumes of Süleyman-nâme-i Kebîr of Firdevsî-i Rûmî, who lived at the end of the fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries, are examined.
