The dilemma of the connections between terms “support” and “help” in the internal and external pro-family activities

Summary/Abstract: The author has attempted to clarify key concepts of social pedagogy and theory of social work (help and social support), and their mutual relationship. He presents an interdisciplinary approach – refers to social pedagogues, psychologists and sociologists specializing in the area. He sets the concepts in the realm of pro-family activities at a local and supra-local scale. He assumes that refining the conceptual framework in this area is an essential condition for the clarity and relevance of social services on behalf of the family.
