The Formation of the Genre of "Musical" because of the Integration and Interpenetration of Cultures

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of the Article. The article is devoted to the historiographical analysis of the emergence of new fiery musical and stage art because of the interpenetration of cultures of different ethnic traditions. The publication aims to determine the formation of the genre of "musical" by analysis of historiography in the context of interpenetration and enrichment of the genre experience of different cultures. The methodology of the research is to apply the integrative method, the method of interpretation, the method of typological analysis, synergetic and axiological approaches. Scientific novelty consists in studying the formation genre musical in a combination of cultural integration, cultivation, psychological adaptation and socialisation in the cultural field of the USA between the First and Second World Wars. Conclusions. The musical was the result of the process of the interpenetration of cultures of different traditions: European, African-American, authentic American and culture in the language of Yiddish in southeastern Europe.
