Summary/Abstract: In the real case of communication, speakers use concomitantly the pronoun « in » and the preposition « of » which belongs to a pronominalized prepositional syntagm. By doing so, they create a kind of overload in the syntactic organization of the sentence. From a generative grammar perspective, we have shed some light on this linguistic phenomenon, which tends to normalize in a French-speaking country like Cote d’Ivoire. This way of using these two classes of words remains at the superfluous limit, that is to say, it has an impact on the grammatical norm.
