Summary/Abstract: In this article we examine stable verb-noun phrases of the ‘give an answer’ and ‘enter negotiations’ type. We start with the idea that the noun in the phrase does not act as an argument and that the valence properties are distributed between the constituents of the phrase. The article also describes the specific properties which incorporate the constructions in a separate group and proposes a classification model.
