Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article aims at studying the role of culture in the process of transmitting and perceiving information. Methodology. The authors have used cultural-historical, systemic, descriptive, and integrative approaches. The scientific novelty. The realization of communicative competence is culturally conditioned. In the process of messaging, meanings are constantly being reproduced since they are not identical even among the representatives of the same culture. Communication becomes even more complicated within the framework of different cultures and different languages.
