Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to identify and characterize the activity of libraries for information and communication provision of hotel and restaurant sphere in foreign countries. The methodology of the study is to use the methods of direct and reverse analysis of foreign practice in this regard. The scientific novelty of the article is to uncover the activities of libraries for information provision of the hotel and restaurant sector in foreign countries. Conclusions. In foreign practice, the combination of hotel and restaurant service with libraries creates new directions of activity; the ability to improve existing models. Such new approaches provide a comfortable environment for scholars, readers, lovers of the primary sources and unique information and hospitality workers. Foreign experience clearly makes it clear that, if necessary, the librarian may acquire a narrow specialization and become an indispensable worker in the field of hotel and restaurant services, as in the case of the cheese librarian and the wine librarian. In addition, the level of knowledge of specialists increases with the use of library services, and the level of professional knowledge.
