Innovative Approaches in the Formation of the Urban Architectural Environment with the Means of Design

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of the article. The aim of the research is to identify modern and perspective innovative technologies and design approaches for forming urban environment to provide the population of cities with comfortable recreational zones. Methodology. The methodological basis of the research is based on the complex use of general scientific methods of research: analysis, synthesis, comparison and generalization of previously proposed ideas and proposals. When conducting research on this problem, theoretical background was the research of domestic and foreign scientists on the problems of the formation of urban architectural environment. Scientific novelty. As a result of the research the modern and perspective innovative design technologies and approaches in formation of the urban architectural environment are revealed. The innovative approach in the design of the urban environment is presented in the form of a methodological concept of a comprehensive organization of the subject-space environment of the city, with considering modern trends and technologies in the design of the urban environment. Within the framework of this concept, the relationship between "man - design - urban environment" is considered as mutually influential components of a single system in the formation of the subject-space environment of the city and the introduction of innovative technologies and approaches. Conclusions. Creating an image of the urban environment requires the use of the design potential in the formation of the cultural space of the urban environment and the introduction of new ideas and plans for creating a unique and original architectural space. Based on the analysis of foreign and domestic experience, the following modern trends in urban environment development can be singled out: ecological orientation, creating of highly comfortable urban space, organization of spatial and functional structure both "vertically" and "horizontally", placement in the urban environment of sculptural and decorative forms, merging of borders between interior and exterior spaces, tendency to create the illusion of movement ("animation") of fixed objects on the facades of buildings and structures,, individualization of the architectural ensemble, wide use of means of light design, use of interactive design tools, structuring the object-space environment, use of alternative spaces for landscaping (roofs and facades of buildings), use of water structures in environmental design, use of modern information technologies..
