The agricultural-forest border in Sromowce Wyżne

Summary/Abstract: For many mountain communities and villages the problem of the agricultural-forest border is not solved by development plans. It is omitted, roughly or badly approached. Because of economic and landscape reasons it is a false assumption. In this paper there are presented rules which should be followed by planning services white marking the agricultural – forest border in the village Sromowce Wyżne which constitutes the southern part of the protective zones of the Pieniny National Park. The described area is extremely sensitive to landscape. At the prezent moment it is exposed to all ecological dangers due to the dam being built on the river Dunajec in Czorsztyn and the stilling basin in Sromowce Wyżne.
