Compliance or Not with the New Corporate Governance Code. A Survey at Bucharest Stock Exchange

Summary/Abstract: The study had as objectives, first, the analysis of the degree of compliance with the Corporate Governance Code by the Romanian companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, from a specific field, but also the identification of potential benefits resulting from the adoption of Corporate Governance Code. According to the survey, none of the companies in the sample complies 100% with the provisions of the new Corporate Governance Code, so measures are required regarding compliance, increased transparency and dissemination of information, and increased reaction speed of companies with changes in regulations.
