Summary/Abstract: In the European Union, where predominantly rural areas and intermediate areas cover 90%, the development of these areas is treated as a priority. It concerns also countries that joined EU in the current century. Planning and introducing development policies require both the analysis of supported and transformed areas and gaining knowledge from other countries. experience.
